Wintershall:
Sustainability Report

Heisters & Partner designs and develops the corporate responsibility report for Germany's largest oil and gas producer. Wintershall, a wholly owned subsidiary of BASF, combines economic success with social responsibility, the responsible use of natural resources and environmental protection. The company follows a consistent approach that focuses on the environment and people in all its activities: »Economic concerns do not take priority over health, occupational safety and environmental protection. Nothing is so urgent or important that Wintershall can ignore HSE principles,« it says in the introduction.

Wintershall Sustainability Report

This year's corporate responsibility report focuses on the company's key sustainability issues: What does sustainability mean for Wintershall? Which and how many resources has the company used? What role can Wintershall play in achieving the United Nations' 17 sustainability goals? The report provides answers to these and other questions by first explaining the UN initiative on corporate responsibility in principle and then placing the points relevant to the raw material supplier in direct connection with Wintershall. The explanatory sections are individual and designed from the perspective of different employees. Handwriting and pen drawings give the contributions an authentic touch and convey the basic message of the report: When it comes to sustainability, the commitment of each individual counts.

The report also illustrates complex relationships in clear information graphics and contains numerous journalistically prepared features to credibly underline the holistic commitment of the oil and gas producer. The imagery and character of the illustrations were developed and tested in numerous scenarios at Heisters & Partner before they were implemented in the report in coordination with the company's communications specialists.
