Winner of the German Sustainability Award

The TAKKT AG sustainability report is based on the motto »Keep Changing«. This not only characterizes the company's agility, but also its business model, which is closely linked to sustainable and qualitative growth. The portfolio companies and brands of the TAKKT Group operate in attractive markets in the B2B specialty mail order sector and concentrate primarily on the sale of durable and price-stable equipment as well as specialty items for the recurring needs of corporate customers. The product ranges offered largely include consumer goods that companies use in the course of their business activities. The TAKKT companies supply, for example, pallet trucks to German automotive suppliers, computer cabinets to Swiss mechanical engineering companies, individually printed advertising banners for trade fair appearances, shipping boxes to European industrial companies and catering equipment to US commercial kitchens. Sales are carried out as part of an integrated multi-channel approach via the sales and marketing channels print (catalogs and brochures), online (web shops and e-procurement solutions), tele (telephone customer service) and field (personal support by field staff).

Sustainability Progress Report

Heisters & Partner was able to qualify as an agency for sustainability reporting as part of a pitch presentation and has been responsible for preparing the annual reports since 2017. Together with the SDAX company's communications experts, our team developed a multi-part report concept. The strong integration of sustainability into the business strategy and the specialist supplier's lived code of values ​​were helpful to us, because we quickly realized that sustainability is nothing new for TAKKT. In the group, it has always been part of the entrepreneurial tradition to manage all resources as carefully as possible. Guided by the principles of sustainability, TAKKT AG is actively committed to climate and environmental protection in its core business and assumes responsibility for its products – in purchasing, marketing and logistics. TAKKT is also committed to the concerns of its employees and those of the social environment.

 


The report prepared by Heisters & Partner shows that the company does not want to rest on its laurels but wants to build on these goals and continue to push its sustainability activities and remain a leader in its industry. The report states that TAKKT has further developed its sustainability strategy as part of an extensive stakeholder dialogue and has reaffirmed the areas of action defined by the end of 2016: purchasing, marketing, logistics, resources & climate, and employees and society. Specific measures have been defined in the individual areas of action that are aimed at achieving the targets by the end of 2020.

 


Heisters & Partner was able to support the company with a report concept that clearly highlights the goals and fields of action. Under the motto »Keep Changing«, the milestones of the program are listed and the objectives explained. The font used, »Clarendon«, underlines the sustainable nature and future orientation of the report, the amount of text was deliberately reduced in order to make the report usable as a practical presentation tool for field staff, and the spiral binding makes it easy to open. The cardboard character of the pages visualizes the strategic component of mail order and the statement that TAKKT not only delivers outstanding products, but also good results.
