The K+S AG annual report questions the company slogan »Experience growth« and relates it to the company's strategic future. What does growth mean for the K+S company? Is it primarily about quantitative growth or is it about qualitative growth? The report makes the slogan tangible in the literal sense and presents the comprehensive meaning of this term in the context of a sustainable corporate strategy. The focus is on the question of what contribution the company makes to enabling growth worldwide and what quality this contribution has in ensuring the sustainable supply of people with food.

Annual Report

The double pages are used as a stage to give the reader a deep insight into the world of K+S. As a raw materials group, the company operates deep underground, in a world that remains hidden from most people. The exploration and refinement of the raw materials potash and salt have a strong impact – both in their effective use in nutrition and industry and in terms of resources.

K+S AG Corporate Image

The imagery was produced for the K+S business and sustainability report as well as for an image campaign, advertisements and the company's website. The broad use of the image concept made it possible to produce the series of images exclusively at the original locations of K+S's value creation. Under the art direction, advice and conception of Heisters & Partner as lead agency, a total of twelve large lead motifs were created together with the Dutch photographer Oscar van de Beek – and numerous follow-up motifs that were produced above and below ground at twelve locations throughout Europe, North and South America and Asia. The camera technology used made it possible to create high-resolution motifs of great width. The lithographic implementation was carried out by Recom in Stuttgart, and production was carried out by Heisters & Partner in cooperation with Claudia Bitzer in Hamburg. The aim was to make the company slogan »Experience growth« come alive and to convey the qualitative aspects of the company's growth. Aspects such as sustainability and the specific responsibility of the world's largest salt and potash producer for employees, customers and the environment were to be conveyed. All motifs were planned in detail in advance after the storytelling and developed as a mockup before the global scouting took place. An integrated communication approach was implemented through direct and integrated coordination with the executive board, corporate communication and the financial communication department. In addition to the photo crew, a film crew was also sent to the locations, which implemented the story for a corporate image film based on the imagery and the story developed by Heisters & Partner.
