ALTANA Report 2022:
»Climate protection at ALTANA«

The focus of ALTANA AG's new corporate report is climate protection and the clear promise to make the company completely climate-neutral in production and energy procurement by 2025. The concept of the image series is intended to show the ALTANA-specific, holistic understanding with which this project will be achieved. The development is explained in a distinctive and comprehensible way with concise examples by establishing the reference to the ALTANA identity and making it visible as part of the strategy: black and white, isolated employee portraits against a white background in combination with meaningful, striking handwritten commitments that ALTANA wants to achieve the goal of climate neutrality by 2025.

Corporate Publishing

The testimonials shown represent the entire range and diversity of people at ALTANA – from board members to researchers to trainees – and describe in their statements how sustainability is lived and supported at ALTANA. Authentic stories on the following double pages explain, according to the six capitals, the relevance of the topic and how the goal is implemented in the respective areas. The portraits of the employees focus on the contribution of the individual and thus open up the storytelling about the company's stories. The handwriting on the lead pages corresponds to the real handwriting of the individual protagonists and is shown in a green/blue gradient, underlining the company's connection to the topic of sustainability. The colorful/non-colorful contrast makes the topic pages exciting, varied and independent. The concept deliberately works with striking statements to convey the style of a campaign and to convey the new beginnings associated with the topic.

 

Integrated Reporting

The content of this corporate report also functions as a so-called »integrated annual report« of the world's leading specialty chemicals company. It combines the content of an annual report with the content of a sustainability report. The IIRC concept served as a framework for the process. In addition to the values ​​that can be found on the company's side, values ​​that do not belong directly to the company but are used by it economically also play an important role in the reporting. This report focuses on the impact that the sustainable actions of the people at ALTANA trigger. ALTANA understands sustainability as a triad of economics, ecology and social responsibility. It is clear that these three dimensions are inextricably linked for the global player.
