Using five examples, the collaborative partnership with customers, researchers and investments is clearly presented and the flexible business model of specialty chemicals with its synergies and the daily linking of expertise and knowledge is explained.
The testimonial section shows clearly and credibly how ALTANA, as a pure specialty chemicals company that thrives on innovation, consistently integrates external know-how into its innovation processes. The company's customers play a special role here, with whom ALTANA works closely on a wide range of solutions for their individual challenges. But cooperations have also developed with the customers of ALTANA's customers, with technology leaders from completely different industries, and with renowned universities, which are highlighted in the report. The report impressively explains that the partnerships ultimately pay off for everyone.

The graphic implementation represents the aspect of partnership and exchange using independent and innovative means: partially transparent printed films allow the cooperation partners to appear in the image section of the report in the truest sense of the word and visually represent the transfer of know-how and the contribution of both sides. The photography for the image section was taken in Israel, Germany and North America, among other places.
The annual report has been optimized for optimal readability of tables, information graphics and texts. The binding is spiral-stitched, which guarantees optimal opening behavior and is the best possible binding for annual reports. The HTML online annual report and an e-book version were published at the same time as the print and PDF versions of the report. The imagery was also used in the company magazine »Faces« and in the company's own Facebook page.
The concept was also implemented as a sustainability report with additional testimonials and is considered one of the best reports of its year.
