ALTANA Annual Report:
»We want to be leaders in everything we do«

The annual reports of ALTANA AG and their titles are a special feature among German-language reports: for years they have been designed in the canon of the company's corporate design secondary colors. Each report appears with exactly the same cover, on which only two things change from year to year: the corresponding year's color and – in small letters at the bottom right – the year. Otherwise, in modern German, »everything remains different.« This confident line, characterized by continuity and constant change, corresponds to one of the most important characteristics of the world's leading specialty chemicals group ALTANA AG, which makes a difference in many ways. Under the motto »We want to be leaders in everything we do,« the annual report focuses year after year on a new, current and value-defining strategic focus in its calm, confident and graphically sophisticated approach – always with the aim of conveying the greatest possible credibility and authenticity and at the same time expressing what makes this company unique: giving more than is expected and going that decisive step further that makes the decisive difference. Always linked to the goal of making the company's customers champions in their markets.

Annual Report

This report deliberately breaks the boundary between research at ALTANA and the successful implementation of the solution in the customer's production process. The overlap of the customer solution as part of the ALTANA workflow shows what ALTANA understands by the »integration of solutions« and uses clear examples to convey how customized specialty chemicals solutions become an integral value-added factor on the customer side. »Added Values ​​by Integrated Solutions« means that ALTANA adds something small that expands and increases the value and function of a product. Cut-outs in the lead pages of the printed piece allow the solutions presented by customer testimonials to become part of a complex and goal-oriented workflow. The report, which is one of the few reports to appear in the best of all bindings for years (the easy-to-read and user-friendly spiral binding, invented by Prof. Olaf Leu, ideally suited as a working document, as this binding avoids any shrinkage and has the best possible reading and opening properties), is supported by excellent and highly precise typography that is unrivaled. From the very beginning, the initiators of the ALTANA reporting wanted to focus uninterruptedly on the essentials: the business.
