Heisters & Partner wins design competition in manager magazin's contest with K+S AG report (September 1, 2011) Heisters & Partner succeeds with the Financial and Sustainability Report of DAX 30 member K+S AG manager magazin's contest „Die besten Geschäftsberichte” as the overall winner in the design category. Thus, Heisters & Partner affirms its leading position in terms of strategic design development. The K+S AG report was elected to the top of the design category by manager magazin's design jury in an extensive evaluation process, ranking before Deutsche Post DHL AG's, ThyssenKrupp AG's, and Fresenius Medical Care AG's reports. „Together with our clients, we're happy about this fabulous placing of the K+S AG report in the most important competition for business reports,” says Valentin Heisters, CEO of Heisters & Partner, Corporate & Brand Communication. „From the beginning of our design development on, we had K+S AG's core identity in the focus. So, parallel to the realisation of the financial and sustainability reports, an image film as well as a Group image brochure were produced.”
K+S Report awarded with „Berliner Type” (August 24, 2011) Designed by Heisters & Partner, the Financial and Sustainability Report of DAX 30 member K+S AG was awarded with the „Berliner Type”. In the eyes of the jury it was among the finest printed publications of the year because of its outstanding design and typographic qualities. In this 43rd International Print Design Competition, the report had to pass a detailed examination in terms of conception and text, graphic design, typography and illustration, photography as well as production by a 17-headed jury of experts in the particular fields.
100% Dräger: New annual report for Drägerwerk AG & Co. KgaA (May 22, 2011) Themed „100% Dräger“, Heisters & Partner developed the 2010 report in close collaboration with Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA, one of the world’s leading companies in medical and safety technology. This year, the report focuses on the Lübeck-based Tec-Dax player’s staff members, who set an example in terms of company values and brand characteristics and explain in testimonials what „100% Dräger“ means to them. Close customer relationships, competent staff, continuous innovation as well as outstanding quality are the main four cultivated assets in the focus. Real-life style scenery and coherent statements lead over from human to technology. By that means, each staff member story is connected to a specific product, thus representing a whole company division.
Worldwide implementation of strategic image campaign for K+S AG (April 8, 2011)To realize the visual language for K+S AG’s corporate and financial communication, our teams travelled all around the globe. The shootings with Dutch photographer Oscar van de Beek lead us to India, Chile, the US, Sweden, and all across Germany. In the process, pictures were generated that show underground mining, landscapes in snow as well as scorching heat, the countryside and million-resident mega-cities such as Los Angeles or Mumbai. The pitch-winning visual concept, that helped Heisters & Partner prevail against the best-known German brand agencies, is telling the K+S company claim „Experience growth“. It is used in the financial and sustainability report as well as in the image brochure and on the K+S AG website.
Annual Report for R+V Versicherung AG with Johann Sebastian Hänel (April 8, 2011)This year, the R+V Versicherung AG report was produced with Berlin-based photographer Johann Sebastian Hänel. In the focus of the current group report stands the insurance’s social commitment. The communication concept uses empathetic pictures to inform about areas in which the company takes on social responsibility. The cooperation principle - many can move more than one alone - is found at the heart of photos.
Heisters & Partner presents business and sustainability report of K+S AG
(April 8, 2011) Heisters & Partner designed and realized this year’s business and sustainability report of Dax 30 company K+S AG. Thus, Heisters & Partner is expanding its customer base by another important German corporation, again proving its capacity in the development of ambitious strategic communication concepts and above-average annual reports. Our conception for the sustainability, too, was able to convince the K+S team and got developed and realized in our house.
Fraport AG continues high with Heisters & Partner (April 8, 2011) Fraport AG, one of the internationally leading corporations in airport business and operating company of Frankfurt airport, once again chooses Heisters & Partner’s crew and launches another annual report. The report aims at illustrating the taking on of the manifold challenges during the expansion of the most important continental air-hub, Frankfurt airport. Last year’s Fraport AG report was able to improve its position in the manager magazin competition enormously and was awarded e.g. the internationally renowned iF Design Award. The team around Valentin Heisters and Paul Etzel was able to get hold of Swiss photographer Michael Rast again this year who once again proved his mastership and showed the airport from unusual angles. A smart use of typography, impressive facts and figures and a unique conception define the current annual report of Fraport AG.
Heisters & Partner presents Dyckerhoff’s annual report no. 10

Ergonomically enhanced working conditions and contemporary office architecture define the new work environment that is directly attached to the hitherto existing complex. Imagebrochure for Merz Pharma Group (April 7, 2011) After taking care of the annual report and the extension of the corporate design, Heisters & Partner was also asked to develop Merz Pharma Group’s new image brochure. In collaboration with Hamburg-based photographer Uwe Aufderheide, pictures were taken in the USA, Great Britain and Germany. Heisters & Partner serves Merz Pharma Group, a group that takes on responsibility for people’s health all over the planet, already in the fifth year. Apart from the corporate design extension, all business reports and key image media are being taken care of. Merz aims its corporate policy at being the specialist in the core competences Central Nervous System (CNS) and dermatology. After an intense selection process, the DAX 30 company K+S AG has decided to work with Heisters & Partner. The team of Valentin Heisters and Amöne Schmidt was able to prevail in a competition with three of the best-known branding and annual report agencies in Germany. In the future, Heisters & Partner will take care not only of the company's annual but also its complex sustainability report. K+S with a

Four times iF Design Award 2010 for outstanding design
(May 31, 2010) International Forum Design's expert jury honors Heisters & Partner with iF Design Awards for four different pieces of work: The new annual report of Fraport AG, the annual report of Drägerwerk AG & Co. Silver DDC Award 2009 for Heisters & Partner
(December 15, 2009) Dyckerhoff AG's annual report 2009 is to win the silver DDC Award. We're happy together with our clients, Dyckerhoff AG and Buzzi Unicem SpA in Wiesbaden and Milan. The annual report of Dyckerhoff AG is regarded as one of the finest German reports and won this year the second placing in the overall design rating of manager magazin's competition “The Best German Annual Reports”. The silver DDC Award is a German design award of the highest order.

Heisters & Partner designs 2009 annual report of R+V Versicherungs AG
(November 25, 2009) Again, Heisters & Partner was assigned to design the annual report of R+V Versicherung AG. For the fourth time, one of Germany’s largest insurance groups puts faith in the competence of our design and corporate communications teams. Apart from the annual report, Heisters & Partner also creates car insurer’s KRAVAG’s report, addressing their target group individually by adapting the communication concept.
Heisters & Partner accompanies merger of Hirsch Electronics, SCM Microsystems and Bluehill ID
(November 23, 2009) Since April 30, 2009, US American Hirsch Electronics, a leading company in physical security systems, and SCM, a leader in logical security, are merged companies. Now, parent SCM has announced it will combine with the international operating Bluehill ID to create a powerhouse global enterprise to provide advanced security and identity solutions across the value chain. (September 07, 2009) With Dyckerhoff AG's and Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA's annual reports, this year, again, top positions in the recognized “manager magazin” ranking could be won. The Dyckerhoff report, which was also designed for the parent company Buzzi Unicem SpA (Milan), made it up to No. 2 among all German and European reports in terms of design and conception. In the 10-year-ranking of “manager magazin”, it even is the most successful report in this segment and is regarded as part of the “Visual Elite”. “There is hardly another annual report that was to be found in top positions over such a long period, especially in this 'manager magazin' competition, one of the few contests to be taken seriously due to reasonable criteria and a scientific background. But firstly, we are concerned about the consistence and effectivity of the reports in the context of the whole communication. The judgement of manager magazin is one of the indicators that testify a comprehensible and credible communication,” says CEO Valentin Heisters. The Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA report was able to improve in another ten positions in the design ranking, too. For the first time, the report secured itself a podium position as one of the TechDax top 3 within the overall standings of the recognized competition.
Heisters & Partner wins two red dot awards 2009 for outstanding design
(August 12, 2009) The Heisters & Partner design team wins for the 2008 annual report of Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA and for the 2007 annual report of Buzzi Unicem SpA / Dyckerhoff AG one of the treasured red dot awards each for excellent design quality and outstanding artwork. Together with our clients in Milan, Lübeck and Wiesbaden, we are happy and want to thank the photographers involved, Robert Brembeck (Munich), Michael Rast and Franziska Messner-Rast (both St.Gallen), for their quality work without compromise. Also, this year's manager magazin benchmarking is going to show an interesting judgement on the current annual reports. In the most important competition of European reports, Heisters & Partner reaches consistently top positions and has been in the premier league of German design agencies for years.
Fraport opts for Heisters & Partner
(July 24, 2009) Fraport AG is going to develop its business reports along with Heisters & Partner in the future. The decision for the creative team was made after an intense selection procedure. “We are very happy that we were able to convince one of the internationally leading groups in airport business from our strategy and our performance,” says Valentin Heisters. Fraport AG runs the Frankfurt airport, which is one of the most important aviation hubs in the world. The range of services of Fraport AG does not only contain all services concerning air traffic but also airport retailing and real estate development. J.P. Morgan AG decides again in favor of Heisters & Partner
(May 28, 2009) For the fifth time the annual report of J.P. Morgan AG was realized in cooperation with the consultants and designers of Heisters & Partner. This year's task was to integrate the group's new corporate design into the annual report. Senior Art Director Amöne Schmidt says: “We translated the new emotional quality of the new corporate design into an adequate and reader-friendly atmosphere of a report. Legibility and a clean structure were the main focus of the new design.”
Nomination for the “Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland”
(May 28, 2009) Heisters & Partner was nominated for the second time for the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany. Thus, Dyckerhoff AG's annual report makes it again into the circle of nominated design entities. The Design Prize is the highest official German creative award on invitation from the Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology and conducted by the Rat für Formgebung (Design Council). The Dyckerhoff annual reports series was also honored by the Deutscher Designer Club and “manager magazin”.
Heisters & Partner presents annual and sustainability report of Italian Buzzi Unicem group
(May 15, 2009) For the third time, international building materials producer Buzzi Unicem SpA assigned Heisters & Partner to develop its most important business reports. Buzzi Unicem is one of the biggest producers of concrete and cement in the world and operates in more than 25 countries. Heisters & Partner does not only serve this global player in terms of corporate communications but also in brand management and corporate design.
Heisters & Partner develops image folder for Commerz Business Consulting, Commerzbank AG's internal consulting agency
(May 14, 2009) After the development of the annual report, Heisters & Partner was also asked to elaborate content and design for an image folder dedicated to Commerzbank AG's executive managers. The brochure's focus is on authentic portraits of the consultants who explain their consultancy's main features and stress the customer's benefit in their testimonials. Through complex figures and well-written text, the reader gets to know the productive efficiency and the unique position of the Commerzbank experts.
Valentin Heisters in R_Vision's current edition: “What makes design relevant to society and economy?”
(April 21, 2009) The magazine edited by designer Michael Eibes focuses, in its second edition, on “Design Qualifying”. Articles by Peter Zizka (Heine Lenz & Zizka), Prof. Olaf Leu (erem. FH Mainz), Clemens Hilger (Hilger & Boie), Frank Wagner (Häfelinger & Wagner) and Prof. Gisela Grosse (FH Münster), an essay by Valentin Heisters on the relevance of design to society and economy can be found among many others. There, he argues for a design process that aims higher than just finding aesthetic solutions: “An enterprise needs efficient design strategies for its insides as well as for the outside in order to survive. New image brochure for Merz GmbH & Co. KGaA made by Heisters & Partner
(April 17, 2009) “Compared to the internet, printed image publications are still the media with the longer lasting 'pharmaceutical effect',” says Prof. Olaf Leu and he's right: The new image brochure of pharmaceutical group Merz is in the hands of the designers from Heisters & Partner. The brochure focuses on the innovations of the Frankfurt-based pharmaceuticals producer who has specialized in neurologic and psychiatric deseases. Today, Merz is internationally acclaimed in Alzheimer research. The over 100 year-old independent pharmaceuticals company has also been very active and involved in clinical and aesthetic dermatology.

(April 09, 2009) The board of directors and the top management of the Commerzbank group mandate the internal Commerz Business Consulting in all fields of business, home and abroad. The consultants’ task is to find tailored solutions for current and future demands in the private and corporate clients business as well as for Commerzbank’s back-office units. Here, innovative and applicable solutions are developed. Along with the design team of Heisters & Partner, a periodic business and annual report of the specialist consultants is created. Addressees of the publication are future coworkers as well as the consultants’ employers in the house. With vivid reports, facts and figures, the professional advisors use the new medium for accounting and explaining their operations and consulting approaches. In cooperation with Hamburg-based photographer Uwe Aufderheide, an ostensive and extraordinary photo spread was created, authentically picking up the viewer.

This year, the team around Valentin Heisters and Amöne Schmidt worked closely with Munich-based photographer Robert Brembeck and Michael Rast (St.Gallen). The report communicates in exciting and authentic pictures the values created by Dräger. “It was important to us to show unmistakably what makes Dräger special and unique. This second report of the ‘Technology for Life’ series shows how fascinating a company Dräger in fact is,” says Valentin Heisters, CEO of Heisters & Partner. The annual report has been in continuous evolution for four years and improved every year in the recognized ranking of manager magazin.
Design of new website for Swiss Mountain Partners AG by Heisters & Partner
(April 03, 2009) The web relaunch for the Switzerland-based Mountain Partner Group is from this day on supported by Heisters & Partner. This management decision was made after thorough conversations and a workshop by the Lake of Zurich. Within the project, Heisters & Partner is responsible for the website’s screen design. Located in Switzerland, the Mountain Partners Group was founded by Dr. Cornelius Boersch and Daniel S. Wenzel in 2004. Since then the Group has developed into an Asset Management Group with specialized investment instruments. The group comprises of Mountain Super Angel AG (4MS), Bluehill ID AG (BUQ) and Cleantech Invest AG (4CT) which are all three listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Furthermore, Taishan Invest AG, Omnis Mundi AG and newest investment instrument Medvest Capital AG are part of the Mountain Partners Group. Today, the Group holds stakes in more than 80 companies and has positioned itself as an “Institutionalized Business Angel”. Thus, Mountain Partners combines the financial strength of an institutional investor with the flexibility of a Business Angel.
Heisters & Partner asked to expand Dyckerhoff’s corporate design
(February 14, 2009) After the corporate design relaunch for the global Buzzi Unicem group, Heisters & Partner has now been assigned to further develop several of Dyckerhoff AG’s applications. Dyckerhoff is Germany’s second largest producer of building materials and was able to improve sales and earnings in the last business year: Group sales went up by 11 % to 2 billion EUR.
Corporate Design Relaunch for Drägerwerk AG & Co. KgaA
(October 18, 2007) Heisters & Partner took the lead for Dräger’s corporate design relaunch: In the course of a revitalization and sharpening of the umbrella brand architecture, Heisters & Partner was entrusted with the complete relaunch development of the design system created in the eighties by Rolf Müller, a former partner of Otl Aicher. Guided by Creative Director Valentin Heisters and advised from Senior Art Director Amöne Schmidt, nine complex design manuals will be produced in two teams. By realizing the revitalized corporate design program, the successful cooperation between Heisters & Partner and Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA continues.
